Policies

Disclosure policy – I have started this blog to share with you what I know about nutrition with the aim of providing nutritional information to help you make informed healthy choices.    Amongst the personal ramblings, you will find nutritional recommendations that are independent unless declared.  To the best of my knowledge the nutritional information is based on the most up to date information.  It may however become updated as nutritional studies are constantly being conducted; therefore archived posts may not always reflect the latest recommendations.  Recipes have been created in my kitchen and guided by my tastebuds, with the hope of providing inspiration of how to practically apply the nutritional information.  The positive mentioning of any product or program is done so simply because I like that product or program.

Comment policy – You have a right to freedom of speech but in the words of Woody from Toy Story, play nice.  I’m being nice by aiming to provide a reliable source of nutritional information and sharing my recipes.  If you wouldn’t say it to your grandma, partner’s mum (that you’re trying to impress) or doctor, don’t say it here.

Medical advice policy – The information I have provided is of a general nature and is not intended to replace the personalised care of your health professional team.  As mentioned above, nutritional studies are constantly being conducted; therefore even though I aim to provide the most up to date information to the best of my knowledge, information is constantly outdated.  I am sure you understand that personal nutritional advice cannot be provided and I encourage you to have regular health visits.   You can search for Australian Accredited Practising Dietitians by locality and speciality here.  If you are outside Australia, you can search for the Dietetic Accrediting body within your country.
